We plan to have a wildlife pond in the back garden. This will not contain fish, which would eat tadpoles etc. We hope it will be a refuge for amphibians and insects. It will probably be good for birds, too.
We would like to introduce plants that like wet conditions around the edge of the pond and leave long grass for amphibians to hide in.
Here's a mock-up we made during the dark winter months for a bit of fun.
